Sch has started for me and things are so busy that i don't even have time to update my blog... so here is a quick summary:

Economic: same old JC stuff. still manageable , but lecture can get a bit dry..

Japanese studies : 2nd lecture is horrible! the guest speaker who talked throughout the whole 1.5 hr is a great killer. with a strong accent, most of the time i can't help but to question myself is he speaking Japanese or English?

Social work : knowledge learnt can be applied in the real world. at least something more useful

French : thank god i went to learn the basic like je suis , bonjour, ca va ect..

Clean energy: the slackest of all...love it man! no readings no homework, no nothing! and its clean energy! save the environment pls... haha

Here is my newly bought laptop case!! i just simply love it! i bought is at 23.90 , comment :thick simple cheap

it has a handle design to let your hand hold the laptop case comfortably and prevent laptop from slipping out if your forget to zip it

there is a inner hander that i can choose to put in it or take it out to use

I wanted to bring Jaya to Curry flavor , but they sold out of curry so we end up eating at ... err. i forgot the name of the stall..

on my plate i have rice , dhal, vegetables, chapati, papad, curd(yoghurt) and small amt of chutney . the yoghurt is veryveryvery sour.. =( it is my first time learning how to eat indian food in the correct steps.. haha i almost made jaya puke i think.. haha . vedict: indian food have very strong flavouring. some are nice, but it can be overdosing at times. so thats why they gave a small portion of each dish! oh. their tea or i should say milk tea is quite nice though.

few days ago, i went shopping with my family and we stop over at a basement of god knows which shopping centre. nothing much to comment on the shopping trip , the only thing that brighten up my day is the food that i had on that day. heeling bought sis this asparagus bbq chicken , it tasted marvelous! the asparagus was wrapped with a slice of bbq chicken and dipped in the sauce. because of the asparagus , the taste of the chick is crunchy and balance the oily after taste that normal bbq chicken have=). the next nice food is ......

yesterday i went to ah xian's house and her bro tell a "joke" that made us burst into laughter. There is how the story goes:

It has been some time since i last blogged a post. I thought life would be lazying around after i quited, however, it seems the other way round. Busy Busy Busy.. i was thinking of having a gathering for 6A before the poly peep's sch holidays end, but times seems so fly and i din't realise that their holidays have ended..i guess i can only wait for the next time then..

In introspection, i am kind of anti-social in the past. to change or not to change i shall let nature take its course..=)

yesterday i went to help out yaloon for the opening ceremony of SYF. It is my first time to be in contact with digital media stuff. i am a total noob in this area, so everything is new to me, even the ppl over there. First time to see things behind the scene , first time to be AP. and this is the first time to see a crew made up of ppl with age ranging from more than half a century to young students age 17..

somehow, looking at those kids i feel that they are soo young. Although they are just a few years younger than me, i just can't help feel that they are just sec grad. i guess the growth and changes from 16 to 20 is really huge. Not only that, looking at some of the pri sch performers, i can't help to think that i was once like them too.

A few min after i wash up in the morning , i received sms from zn saying she was free to meet me that day. Immediately within 10 min i left the house. i can't imagine how did i do that? still in my sleeping modem i get changed and dressed and all the things i need. maybe next time i shall challenge myself to get prepared in 5 min.

I was surprise that zn told me that her classmates are too anxious about their grades and exams even though it is just a simple test. I thought only most of the JC ppl will be uptight with grades while poly students are more towards resting on their larrels . Seems that things is different with kids nowadays. I had a long long chat with zn at sumo house before i left to meet veron and jx. zn update me more often okie?

Reading vivibear's blog post, i am really envy of her... i guess everyone have something and someone to envy of. Some people maybe envy of me that i have a happy , stressfree life. But me, right here, envy of this famous author . She is abled to write well, make it a career.Able to traveling around the world to learn more things and add in more cultural aspect into her stories, spiking up her story. Being able to plant your own food, able to whip up exqusite dishes. theses are something that i reallly look forward to do. yearn , envy , hope. this is the driving force of man.

After being bed ridden for the couple of days, i think my old bones are really calling for some

stretching.. Seems like my lady luck has gone for a nice vacation which left my bread not really well buttered. i guess the only thing i could do is to stay positive and deal these rubbish with rational actions. Sometimes i really can't help but take my hats off to myself. kudos to me! Why so amazing? consider that i am able to grief along with my emotions and picked myself up and continue to do the sensible right thing and not vent my anger ( oh believe me i really really want to do things out of spite. But i think my character is just to practical and suppressed myself not to do things so that i do not have to clean my ass on the later part. Pros and cons to be too practical. )

Recently i had my photo taken for my uni 's matriculation card, looking at the photo . oh the photographer did a lousy job. Ying Ying pls next time get your own photo taken and printed on your own , gota to trust your own skills! Well thats not the point, the point is , although looking at the previous passport side photo i have taken , i haven change a bit since i was 16. Not a tiny bit. However the feel that i portray out in the photos are way different

erm.. it look a bit more hm.. say feminine , more mature ? but from what i cal tell, i still lack of an element . Its hard to say what is it, but i think it is experience. One need to been through things , experience things and learn things to have that confidence that u can manage and deal life with grace.

It was said that Women are like wine, the older it get, the better it will taste. ( of coz there are some part where maintenance of looks came in ) It is tied with experience. After been through something , we grew, learn to take things differently and deal things with a bigger heart , with grace and wisdom. I remembered some celebrities gave me this feeling. Hm.. who is it? haiz. i seems not to remember them right now.. think think think........tick tick tick..... 2 min has passed.. still remember nothing...5 min has past after googling , well.. memories start flooding. Top on my list will be Michelle Yeo 杨紫琼 and 刘嘉玲.. and not forgetting 邓萃雯. The last women on my list , she is not someone that everyone would know or remember. i have a deep impression of her from the show 《金枝欲孽》 . Despite there are a lot more pretty young actress like 黎姿, Charmine Seah, i got to say she really outshine them in the show. She is all i could remember when you talk about this show.

here is another small story , how true this story is i am not that sure -- “徐娘半老，风韵犹存”的典故

徐娘指南朝梁元帝的后妃徐昭佩。《南史》:“徐娘虽老,犹尚多情。”后因用以称尚有风韵的中、老年妇女

徐昭佩是南朝梁武帝第七个儿子萧绎的偏妃，萧绎当时为湘东王，手握重兵镇守江陵。徐昭佩在素蝶向林飞，红花逐风散，花蝶俱不息，红素还相乱的江陵是一个十分活跃的女人。“徐娘半老，风韵犹存”的典故就出在她的身上。

湘东王萧绎自幼爱好文学，对政治了无兴趣，更受他父亲的影响，身着布衣，饮食惟豆羔粗粒而已。正当梁武帝在建康城西设立士林馆，延集学者讲学论文的时候，萧绎也在风光旖旎的江滨，天天与文人雅士谈玄说道。

徐昭佩美丽，聪明，长于诗词，正值花样年华，加上热情如火的禀性，正是需要爱怜的时候，虽然每天打扮得花枝招展，然而却始终撩不起萧绎的情兴，为此她悒郁寡欢，不知如何自处？

最直接的办法莫过于接受丈夫的生活方式，试着打入丈夫的兴趣圈子，因此她一改常态，淡妆素抹地去参加丈夫的诗酒之会，经常与萧绎左右的文友酬对，从而使她的精神领域与情感生活，得到了相当程度开展与疏解。

尽管她的美艳，她的才情，已经得民了客观的肯定，然而萧绎仍然丝毫不为所动，于是徐昭佩更激越地在她的夫妻生活中投下一副猛药，故意在化装时只化半边脸庞，时人称之为“半面装”。

一个女人搽粉，抹胭脂，涂口红只及半边脸庞，想想看那是个什么样子，不但是糟踏了自己的美貌，更是有意虐待别人的视觉。而徐昭佩则是要借此渲泄她心头的愤怒与不平，甚至用以来羞辱萧绎。

侍女们生怕徐妃的这一狠招，会使王爷大起反感，甚至会在盛怒之下弄成可怕的后果。但徐昭佩却要侍女们放一千个心，她说：“王爷父子讲仁义，说道德，断乎不会因这样的小事焚琴煮鹤，顶多只不过是逐出宫会，眼不见心不烦。这样也好，与其维持有名无实的夫妻生活，倒不如另外择人而嫁。”谁知萧绎的修养确实到了炉火纯青的地步，虽然明明知道徐昭佩故意要意他生气，却视若无睹，好象什么事都没有发生过一样。

就这样又过了若干年。

当年梁武帝以“天心不可违，人心不可失”为由而当上皇帝，灭了南齐，开始也注意励精图治，观政听谣，访贤举滞，悉罢女乐；尤其自奉俭约，衣食简朴，为听取民情，更设傍木肺石，使下情得以上达，于是到处出现一片升平气象。但他老人家有一个最大的弱点，就是尊信佛教，相传现在和尚头上留戒疤，就渊源于梁武帝。梁武帝三次出家，三次被赎身再为皇帝，除了天天诵经念佛之外，更常往同泰寺讲经说法，常常夜以继日，一连讲上七、八天才告一段落。那时全国僧尼只几全国人口的一半，仅建康一地，便有佛寺五百余所。梁武帝再也没有统一中国，澄清天下之志。国事多流于形式，终于酿成候景之乱。

侯景本是北朝东魏中原地区的太守，因与东魏宰相高澄有隙，以河南之地来降。这本是一件好事，但梁武帝三下五下，又使反复小人候景转过来反梁，对侯景的叛乱，开始梁武帝还大言不惭地说：“是何能为？吾折鞭以答之。”但不久建康就被攻破，梁武帝在幽禁中死去。

侯景之乱平定后，萧绎在江陵即帝位，改元承圣，成了梁元帝，徐昭佩被册封为贵妃。然而萧绎仍旧习不改，依旧以读书属文为乐，动辄与文武百官讲授老庄的道经，久久不倦。徐昭佩仍然是深宫寂寞，芳华虚度，这时她已经年近不惑了。

萧绎对后宫佳丽均不屑一顾，于是宫人们纷纷找寻情感出路，徐昭佩在大势所趋的情况下，终于按捺不住。她找到一位眉目俊秀，举止风雅的美少年暨季江。初时还自遮遮掩掩，后来居然公开来往，每当萧绎在龙光殿上与群臣大谈老庄之道时，也正是徐贵妃与暨季江在深宫内苑中尽情欢乐的时候。

有人曾开玩笑地问暨季江：“滋味如何？”暨季江毫无隐讳地回答：“徐娘老矣，犹尚多情。”或者回答：‘’徐娘虽老，风韵犹存！”后世形容中年妇人的风情不减，常说：“徐娘半老，风韵犹存。”便是由此而来。

暨季江的轻薄话很快传到了梁元帝萧绎的耳朵里，奇怪的是他仍然无动于衷，左右的都为之愤怒不已，但也无可奈何；

梁元帝久滞江陵而不还旌建康，使得与梁国接壤的西魏大起恐慌，因为江陵靠近西魏，以为萧绎是要进攻西魏，于是紧急整军经武，准备向江陵用兵。根据西魏的估计：梁元帝萧绎跃军沔南，还旌建康，乃是上策；退保子城，峻其陴谍，以待援军，乃是中策；若难以移动，据守江陵，乃是下策。经过周密部署，西魏大将于瑾领军五万直追江陵。

其实连老婆都不爱，老婆偷人连醋都不会吃的皇帝，哪里知道什么上策、中策、下策，他纯粹是沉浸在老庄之道中。等到西魏大军围困江陵，他尚且集合百官大谈老庄之道，及至敌兵攻城甚急，他登城近视敌情，还口占一诗，群臣中竟然也还有唱和的人，迂腐如此。不由人不浩叹。南城已陷，火光冲天，萧绎来到东阁竹殿，命左右尽烧古今图书十四万多卷，又用宝剑狂坎竹柱，仰天长叹：“文武之道，今夜尽矣！”

那徐昭佩呢？她在后宫之中紧紧拥抱着情郎暨季江，原以为海枯石烂，此情不移，不料暨季江听说都城已被攻破，在此紧要关头毫无留恋地挣脱了情人的拥抱，一溜烟逃得无影无踪。徐昭佩悲从中来，放声大哭，恰好萧绎来到她的身边，徐昭佩发疯似地抱住她的皇帝丈夫；是悔恨，是求助，说不清的感情一齐涌上心头。拼命地摇晃着梁元帝萧绎。良久以后，梁元帝萧绎冷冷地问道：“那人呢？”’徐昭佩无言以对。萧绎无可奈何地说：“事已至此，尚有何待？”

徐昭佩心碎了，泪也干了，在晨鸡初唱，魏兵大举入城之际，自缢于宫苑中的葡萄架下。

After reading this, kinda salute to this lady and moan for her. salute to her that she have the courage to do that half make up, with her status and position in the ancient time. It is a sad thing that she can't see thing beyond living in the palace. If she has the courage to cheat opening , to do that make up , why she doesn't have the courage to flee the place?

From another point of view, if i were her, i don't know if i can see things differently.Once you are in a certain mindset , a mindset that whoever you are married to you are bonded to him . I guess thinking out of the box is hard, and sometime lies on the hands of fate. Either you see it or you do not see it. Pretty sad ah?

Jumping on another view, I can't help but to wonder, if she survived through that attack and not being that old at that time, would she give up on love? For her first husband, she met him when she was still soo young, first introduced to love. He probably has hurt her and disappointed her. Later on, her lover gave her what she thought was happiness, but it is not a Halcyon Day. A betrayed love which is build on money and fame. If she was given another chance to be in love again. What would she do then?i have really nothing much to do recently so just can't help but to daydream and wonder....

Recent the capricious weather is having her PSM.One moment she is happy and she shines like nobody business .The next moment, she is sad and she cries non-stop.
Although the weather is horrible, hehe , however , the Mother of Nature still show us its beautiful side.

these breath-taking photos could not show the beauty of nature to the fullest extend ( unless i have the skills and DSLR camera). i was lured by the sunset , however it disappear into the darkness in less than 5 min! it was really lucky of me to catch that view.

Mexican Wedding cookies

Haha. here i am slacking again.. i just went down to buy something that i have been "eye"ing on for quite sometime - cedele's Mexican wedding cookie.
Well it did not disappoint me=)

Slightly different from the conventional, it first coat the walnut cookie with a layer of white chocolate( i think its white chocolate) before sprinkle some confectioners' sugar

It has my fav WALNUTS and being such a sweet cookie, it really cheered me up from this boring work.. Kudos to Mexican Wedding Cookies!

According to Schwartz law, an American , if you think negatively about something, things would really turn out badly.
This is a small story that i heard from radio 100.3.

Once upon a time, there is this uneducated old man who is selling hot dog buns. He doesn't read newspaper nor have any knowledge that can help him in this business. All he knows is just make hot dogs buns and sell it. One day his educated son who graduated from university told him that the economy is going down slope and he should make preparations for it. Being uneducated and ignorant , he choose to believe his son and order less hot dogs. Thinking that his sales would be falling day by day , he made lesser and lesser hot dog buns. Indeed, his business really did dropped drastically and he thought what his son said is truly accurate. However the truth is not what he thinks it is. It is because of his mentality .He did things half-hearted, causing the standard of the food dropped, he ordered less ingredients , giving consumers less choice , hence people stop buying from him.

The moral of things story is that we should always stay positive. Believe that things will always turn better and the beautiful end is always waiting for us. All we need to do is just pull through this period and follow Murphy's Law to prepare for the worse as the probability for bad things occur is always higher than good.

This is a story that i have came across while browsing baidu. Follow the majority and you would not go wrong. The wisdom of the crowd is not necessary always right, sometimes wisdom lies on the hands of the few. If you feel that you are right , stay firm with your stand and slowly prove it to others. This morning i heard a very hilarious piece of news. There is this guy taking a flight from Australia to Singapore threaten to use psychic power to cause the plane to crash down to earth. Upon hearing this, it immediately reminds me of this movie called The men who stare at goat. It is about US military forces training Americans to use psychic powers to kill goats. Is such things ever possible? I mean are there really such military force traning psychic spies? This is an interesting topic that can be film into a movie . I just watched a thought provoking and controversial movie. This movie is called My sister's keeper and it is a real life story. It all happened in Los Angeles, an eleven year old Anna seeks the successful lawyer , trying to hire him to earn medical emancipation from her mother Sara that wants Anna to donate her kidney to her sister.

Her older sister Kate has had leukemia, hence her parents decided to have a designer baby and she was conceived by in vitro fertilization to become a donor. Anna has been donating parts of her body like bone marrow since she was five years old. Being an independent individual , Anna has her own rights to govern over her body. This give me a deeper understanding and feel about designer babies. Previously , designing babies to me are present for a greater good. Without this idea of greater good , they would not be existing in the first place. This movie kind of change my point of view. I had intentional or unintentional overlooked the emotions of the designer baby. Should the world embrace designer baby just to save another innocent child? This is always right? i guess most important is that the designed baby have to agree to do it too.

The movie shows the emotions trauma of the patient and their family. I could not imagine how Sara manage to pull through this. Being a lawyer, she is on the upper class in the society. For her beloved daughter, she quited her job to take care of her. Making sure everything at home is sparkling clean, germs free.While raising a child with cancer, her son had communication problem due to the fact that they focus too much attention on Kate. Fortunately, they manage to help their son to overcome this problem..Later on , more things happened. Having such a family is not easy while other relatives of their give a cold shoulder on them. Yet when Kate's condition has worsen, Sara have to face with the accusation from her another daughter Anna.

At first everyone don't understand Anna, thinking how could she be so heartless to see her sister's live ebbing away while she do nothing. However the story got a big twist where is not Anna's will to sue Sara the mother, it is Kate's idea. The one who have cancer.

I would say it is really a nice movie. All students who are studying GP should watch this movie. I am very sure that Jaya would love this movie as i do.. haha .Jaya , i am waiting for your review!

3rd April

2nd sis is back from her hong kong trip.. looking at her photos it make me wanna to go hongkong. Not for the scenery as i feel that it is more or less similar to singapore, i want to go there for shopping trip and for their food! Both of my sisters just went HK recently and my friend jio me to go taiwan....These temptation to go oversea is growing inside me. However, a trip overseas in total including air ticket it will cost around 1.5 k . Although i often pamper myself with some expensive treats, i am having second thought for this luxury of going overseas. The devil in my mind is convincing myself that it just cost slightly more than a month of my salary yet the practicality side of me is thinking that the money can put to better use in future. As the old saying goes: Save for the rainy days. Oh this reminds me of this advertisement i saw in china for banks saying : 天有不测之风云，人有旦夕祸福， trying to convince people to deposit money in their bank

Hehe.. having some space time right now, i shall continue to think for my English names.. hopefully i can manage to find one before i enter uni . hehe.. i shall blog again when am free ^^ Nowadays i have this craving for peanut milk with dough stick. i finally changed my blog skin after several complains of having difficulty reading my blog.. Unfortunately, this new skin is not that friendly to for reading too. Birthday morning was an unusual one with the small story with veron. When i was indulging with my breakfast in office, a call from veron made me fly down to Raffles Place MRT station .She was not feeling well all of the sudden since earlier on she still sound fine .

initially i thought it was a birthday prank where i can't find her in the mrt station. But thank god that i give her the benefit of doubt and waited patiently for her. Fortunately , everything was fine .She went home earlier and had a good rest.=)

i continued my daily routine of work and looking forward to knock off to see zn!

managed to date her out on her bday itself despite the fact that she have other possible dates to go out w. thai express w the bday girl and man what a satisfying meal, i had the most awesome drink ever and that's red bean milkshake! it's so goooood really (if you like red bean that is) and my first time eating tomyam horfun. i dont know about you but for me, everything tomyam's orangeyred so i was being quite a retard because i was so amazed that the gravy's all clear haa. me being me, as always lol but the gravy's really shiokz, so if you fancy a 10$ hor fun, go go go and dont hesitate already. well we shared a lot that night, and i'm so glad that she's doing really good, i love sharing w her, cant believe we've been really good friends for more than a decade, fourteen years to be exact. wow.

Mine point of view:

very sweet of zn to date me again and again . I completely lost track of how many years of my celebrations is organised by her. Thanks dear!

After wondering around esplanade , we finally settled on thai express and had our meals.

i would say that Thai express has quite a nice drink , of coz not forgetting the food too..

zn ordered a very simple hor fan. but this dish is not simple at all. it look so bland yet it tasted spicy and sour.I can't help but to keep on wondering how did they do that?

Zn's red bean drink is really nice. I would classify it as a must try=) * thumbs up*

I really love the card zn made for me! i am always not artistic at not , this type of inclination will never happen on me. One of the phrase on the card really describe us well:

After all the waiting, i finally got my laptop back. i sure missed my laptop although i wasn't so attached to it. Now i guess i will start loving it and protecting it.. i guess first of all i will buy a silicon keyboard protector. it is quite hard to find one for my model. so i guess i will have to just continue searching for it.

Its sunday again. well on this peaceful day, my new black leather sofa has arrived. it is very fluffy , needless to say it is very comfortable. Ignoring the fact that new sofa has the irritating smell and it is higher than my old one , i just love it. . This morning i just read my sis's i weekly. From Suasan Miller , a famous astrologist, predicted that Pisces will be very blessed and lucky this year. You can only met it less than 7 times in your entire life. I guess the previous part is quite true. Come to think about it , i have a fantastic job, loving friends around me. Caring sisters who willing to sponsor me anything when i am cash tight. I am so blissed this year. Maybe it is because last year i was too busy with studies and i just overlook the contributions made by the people around me. Over there i really wish to thanks all the friends around me.Those who are close, u have always been supportive. For those who lost in touch for quite sometime, you are not forgotten. For those who don't really know me or even talk to me, a little act like a smile would actually brighten up my day. I just hope i can continue to be showered with love and surrounded by kind souls.

It has been quite long since i updated my blog. There are many changes happening to my life.

First and foremost, i finally get a job after nearly 2 months of searching. Guess what ?After i got my job, yesterday, a lady called by if i want to work at a bank for 7.50 per hour. wow! last time i demand for 7 dollar per hour, i was told that it is impossible to find. Now i have one that offer 7.5? Since i have a job i have to give it a pass. What a pity. Hope this kind of job can come to me like few months later when i go jobless .

I manage to do a little catch up with jaya and zheng ning. Both of them are not doing that well , but not that bad either. Both of them got a job too. Listening to the problems they faced in their job make me feel that they had learned a of things which i din't. Although i don't wish to have to face their situation, i still hope that i can learn some reality of life. I grew up in a well protected environment, all the people around me are kind and sweet. i can't imagine the nasty people that i will met in the future. All i know from them are from stories. I wish they can continue to be a fairy tale that will never come true.

A pain of my ass recently is that my handphone gone nuts. Oh i wish i can get another phone real fast. I am aiming sony 's satio or HTC's diamond or even hero. But i not sure how good are they. Online forums comment that they are not that good. But i still love them. Hear that sony will lag big time which is equal to no hp, htc can do nothing without internet and the audio sucks. But sony has a great camera and audio which i simply can't resis while htc have the interface that i really love and it is a window phone that allow me to do project while traveing and it can surf net fast. Trap in a limbo.

There is a CTSS BBQ tml , i am looking forward for it. But i think i need to eat my dinner before i go as i doubt that there will be enough food. As u all know i can't survive without it , not even a single meal. haha. Friends, see you there.

The Photo shoot in singapore has not much standard. I think maybe i should go china to get it done.Previously my sis spent around 2000 RMB which is around 500 SGD she got a few hundreds shots. This time in sg 70 shots and printing these few photos cost 200+++ so ex in sg !! Worse of all you cannot get the soft copy unlike in china they will helpl you edit things like pimple, colour, even helpl you bleach your teeth whiter in your photo. On top of these servies they still help you to burn the photos into a CD.

I am super duper grateful that my face look so flawless without puting on foundation. This is the different between maniupulating light source and without. without the light shining on me, i look like a yellow sickly asian

this is also one of the dish i ordered curry croquette. it is really very nice. crispy on the outside and the curry potato is soft and warm in the inside. blending in the smell of the curry. it just simply taste heavenly

i ordered earth grey ( it is tea flavour) whilw zn ordered peach ans psm ordered mocca. the earth grey is well like by zn and me. it is really nice where there is a light taste of the tea while the ice cream melt in your mouth. i was never a fan of ice cream . But i sure love this earth grey from daily scoop.Their icecream is not greasy that turns me off when i eat more than 2 scoop . the after taste of the ice cream is comfortable. This kind of ice cream is diff from normal ice cream we eat which makes me turn off towards ice cream. another plus point for daily scoop is that they allow you to sample the ice cream before u buy it.

next time when i visit daily scoop again , i would want to try sesamin flavour

my initial plan was to go to my tuition kid's house to give tuition.However , at the last moment before i left the house, i saw her sms saying that she is sick. well morning plan was canceled and i stayed at home till afternoon and head towards mind cafe near raffles place.

After some game session with centre 3 ppl, miss woon , michelle and i head to clementi's uncle sam for dinner. Frankly speaking their clay pot is not that nice after all. i have eaten claypot dishes that is far more nicer at other places .

CTSS has moved back to clementi this year. long with yongyen , yong kiong veron jinxain , we went back to our middle school. This feeling is kinda hard to say it out. This is our sec school , yet it is no longer our sec school. haha contradicting right?

I guess we went back ct too late? that principal of ours still say that sec sch not half day?! when we reach ct , none of the our teachers are there. Fortunately, we manage to find miss Ng . She brought us around her working table and she has to go.

Time is dripping away like a heavy storm, how i wish this storm will abate. I guess this will never happen? When i was typing that sentence, all of the sudden , i came to the sense that time has never actually moved faster or walked slower. It is just the mentality.argh.. Hate this feeling of not having ample time. The only thing i could do to save the last bit of skin is to mug harder in the last few days.

Yesterday went for 08s18 class gathering. only have the class turned up. Quite sad. I hope one day we can have the whole class turn up for it. But one thing that worth acclaim is that the outing turn out well or say at least not as bad as i thought? haha maybe i was too pestimistic. We had lunch at swensen . later headed to play pool..

Oh another delightful thing is that i finally get my class tee. it was done long ago. just that i was not able to pick it up from shazni. i think zn will love this class tee right? its your fav red! pls don't paint yourself green in envy

morning , i receive the best sms i have ever receive. It is from sony ericsson , informing that my phone is ready for collection. OMG i really jump up and say YES!! i hate my replacement phone . every 10 sms i send i have to delete it and the sent msg. otherwise, i can't read the in coming sms. another thing is i find the radiation too high.. thank god!!! i sms hw that i will be late , in the end he is at the bus stop towards JE. Coincidentally, zh also need more time to prepare. Hence HW went to collect the phone with me and we give a temporary airplane to gary.. haha....

lunch at zh house.if zh were to open a hawker stall, and i am the inspector from the sanitation and health board okie i think in singapore is the NEA, i will give him a D grade.

we made yummy tang yuan with 5 varieties, white , pink , coconut sugar, peanut , plain. later head on to: mahjiong+ eat tang yuan+mahjiong+ indian poker+ win or true. +blackjack+ dai di+ pick the double tiles+the full house game we normal see on tv( i don't know what does that call) + dices game .

the lady luck did not spread her blissing to me till the last hr. i can get the no i want for the dice and win blckjack and win the tiles game.

oh yeah , there is a advice for u man, don't play true or dare with me man. there is nothing fun that u can get from me !! all of them regretted playing it with me i think. and someone still owe me a open ended ans. oh its passed 8.30 pm!! hehe... someone... hehe....

met zn today to do a little catch up. i really wanted to share my germany trip with her but too bad that i don't have the photos with me. no worries everyone give me sometimes and i will try to upload everything. one thing i have to say is its not completed , some photos are with other friends ans can only get till next year.

zn brought me to haji lane for the flea market. we walk around the area. we are damn sweaty and sticky.zn brought me to the malay heritage centre,which i nv been or say nv know that there is one . we had raspberry and rose tea, pink yogurt.later went to children little museum, bugis village + accessories. i bought 2 bottom for 47 and later realise that i forget to bargain for cheaper price. a effect from expensive europe will give u am impresstion that things here are cheap. wesat on the stairs near the mrt for some catching up before parting.

这几天我都在看魔幻手机，一步中国和新加坡演员洪乙心所演的。我觉得这是一个很好看的一部戏，它不但有很多东西让我们学习，也很搞笑。更重要的是它的题材比新加坡的剧情更加精彩。

剧中，他教导观众要有爱心，在这社会有很多无可奈何，有很多诱惑，但还是要有一颗赤子之心。虽然踏入社会磨练后，韧要坚持当初的梦想。人活着是为了那个梦。而活着时要行的端，坐得正，必须要有原则，人格。但我觉得其他人可能会对我的想法有意见。

Tape measure: X-rays detected from Scotch tape

NEW YORK - Just two weeks after a Nobel Prize highlighted theoretical work on subatomic particles, physicists are announcing a startling discovery about a much more familiar form of matter: Scotch tape. It turns out that if you peel the popular adhesive tape off its roll in a vacuum chamber, it emits X-rays. The researchers even made an X-ray image of one of their fingers.

Who knew? Actually, more than 50 years ago, some Russian scientists reported evidence of X-rays from peeling sticky tape off glass. But the new work demonstrates that you can get a lot of X-rays, a study co-author says.
"We were very surprised," said Juan Escobar. "The power you could get from just peeling tape was enormous."
Escobar, a graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, reports the work with UCLA colleagues in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature.
He suggests that with some refinements, the process might be harnessed for making inexpensive X-ray machines for paramedics or for places where electricity is expensive or hard to get. After all, you could peel tape or do something similar in such machines with just human power, like cranking.
The researchers and UCLA have applied for a patent covering such devices.
In the new work, a machine peeled ordinary Scotch tape off a roll in a vacuum chamber at about 1.2 inches per second. Rapid pulses of X-rays, each about a billionth of a second long, emerged from very close to where the tape was coming off the roll.
That's where electrons jumped from the roll to the sticky underside of the tape that was being pulled away, a journey of about two-thousandths of an inch, Escobar said. When those electrons struck the sticky side they slowed down, and that slowing made them emit X-rays.
So is this a health hazard for unsuspecting tape-peelers?
Escobar noted that no X-rays are produced in the presence of air. You need to work in a vacuum _ not exactly an everyday situation.
"If you're going to peel tape in a vacuum, you should be extra careful," he said. But "I will continue to use Scotch tape during my daily life, and I think it's safe to do it in your office. No guarantees."
James Hevezi, who chairs the American College of Radiology's Commission on Medical Physics, said the notion of developing an X-ray machine from the new finding was "a very interesting idea, and I think it should be carried further in research."
